A 31-year-old Santa Rosa woman was arrested in San Anselmo Friday afternoon after allegedly being involved in a hit and run crash and was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol, according to police. Elizabeth Carney was arrested following the hit-and-run crash, which was reported at about 2:10 p.m. at the corner of Broadmoor Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, police said. The victim and another witness provided police with the license plate number and description of the suspect vehicle, a red Honda Civic. Shortly afterward, officers located a vehicle matching that description that was parked in the 1500 block of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, and contacted Carney as she was exiting from the vehicle, according to police. Carney was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested without incident, police said.
The hit-and-run crash, which did not cause any injuries, remains under investigation.
