* Oakland Police SWAT Team Searching For Shooting Suspect on Alvingroom Court

A SWAT team in Oakland is searching for a suspect in connection with a shooting this morning that has left a male victim in critical condition at a local hospital, a police spokesman said this afternoon. The shooting was reported at about 10:15 a.m. in the 2600 block of Alvingroom Court, Oakland police Officer Jeff Thomason said. The victim was taken to a local hospital and was in critical condition as of 4 p.m., Thomason said. Investigators learned of the possible location of the shooting suspect, who was allegedly also on Alvingroom Court, and a SWAT team was called to the area, according to Thomason. The suspect had still not been arrested as of 4 p.m., he said.
