* Mohamed Diop Oakland Man Shot To Death On 31st Street

A 31-year-old Oakland man was fatally shot Thursday evening, police Officer Jeff Thomason said.Mohamed Diop was killed after a shooting that was reported at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of 31st Street, Thomason said.Arriving officers found evidence of a shooting, and were told that Diop was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to Thomason.No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police Department’s homicide section at (510) 238-3821.
