* 14-Year-Old Attacked In Concord With Baseball Bat And Stabbed Near Detroit Avenue And Laguna Street

Concord police are seeking two suspects who struck a 14-year-old boy with a baseball bat and stabbed him as he was heading home Monday night, a police sergeant said.The boy was riding his bicycle in the area of Detroit Avenue and Laguna Street at about 7:55 p.m. when the suspects pulled up alongside him in their white, full-size pickup truck, Sgt. Stephen Price said.The suspects exited the vehicle and chased after him. Price said the suspects struck the teen twice in the head with a baseball bat and stabbed him once.The victim managed to make it to his house and was then taken to a hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening, Price said.One suspect is described as a man in his 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with dark hair, a ponytail, moustache and goatee. That suspect, who is possibly Tongan, was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black and white basketball shorts and had the bat, Price said. The second suspect, who had the knife, is only described as being male.Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call Concord police at (925) 671-3030.
