* Uriel Alvarez Fuentes Arrested In Gang Related Stabbing In The Area Of Poplar And Ellsworth Avenues In San Mateo

One teen was injured and another arrested in an apparent gang-related stabbing in San Mateo on Sunday night, police said today.Officers responded to the area of Poplar and Ellsworth avenues shortly before 6:30 p.m. and found a 16-year-old boy suffering from stab wounds, according to police. He is expected to survive. An investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Uriel Alvarez Fuentes, police said.Fuentes was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and attempted homicide, police said. He was booked into San Mateo County jail.
