A Chinese tourist was robbed while walking from the San Bruno BART Station to his South San Francisco hotel Thursday night, according to police. A suspect approached the victim from behind at about 10:20 p.m. Thursday on Tanforan Avenue and punched the victim on the left side of his face, police said. The suspect then demanded money and the victim complied, according to police. After taking the victim’s money, the suspect and another person accompanying the suspect ran west from the area, police said. The suspect who punched the victim is described as a black man in his early 20s who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build and was wearing a dark bandana and dark clothing.
