A Santa Rosa man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of burglarizing a home in Graton that afternoon, a Sonoma County sheriff’s lieutenant said.Lt. Steve Brown identified the suspect as 35-year-old Thomas Bumgarner. A woman arrived at her home in the 4000 block of Bones Road 2:10 p.m. Thursday to find a burglar inside, Brown said. When she confronted the burglar, the man dropped the items he was holding and ran, Brown said.The woman said the suspect was wearing dark camouflage clothing and a dark shirt with a police badge emblem on the chest, Brown said.A deputy spotted Bumgarner, who matched that description, in a cemetery on Green Valley Road, about a mile from the home, Brown said. Bumgarner, was identified by the resident as the alleged burglar and was arrested, he said Bumgarner had a half-gram of methamphetamine, burglary tools and two Chevrolet truck keys when he was arrested, Brown said.He was booked into Sonoma County jail on charges of residential burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of burglary tools and a probation violation, the sheriff’s office said.Some of the woman’s neighbors said their homes had also been burglarized, Brown said.Anyone with information on the case or who lost keys to a Chevrolet truck is asked to call detective Tony King at (707) 565-2185.
