* La Vina Market in Salinas Robbed by Masked Gunmen

Two suspects in ski masks took about $500 in cash and cigarettes from a store in Monterey County near Salinas on Thursday, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. At about 6:55 p.m., two men entered La Vina Market at 1141 Fontes Lane and demanded cash from the clerk working behind the register. The men were wearing ski masks and pointed handguns at the store clerk, the sheriff’s office said. After obtaining about $500 in cash and cigarettes, the suspects ran from the store. No arrests have been made in the case. The suspects were described as two Hispanic men between 5 feet 10
inches and 6 feet tall with thin builds.
