* 17-Year-Old Girl Arrested In Petaluma For DUI After Crashing Into Minivan With Family In It

A 17-year-old girl was arrested in Petaluma for felony DUI Saturday night after she crashed the vehicle she was driving into a minivan occupied by a family of four, police said.The girl lost control of her car at 10:38 p.m. on Lakeville Highway at Frates Road, according to Petaluma police.She crossed into an oncoming lane of traffic and hit the minivan, injuring the driver and severely damaging both cars.The van’s driver was treated for injuries to his arms at Petaluma Valley Hospital, and the girl was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and treated for head injuries.Police found an open bottle of tequila in the girl’s car and determined she was intoxicated.She was arrested for felony DUI because the other driver was injured, police said.
