A clerk at a convenience store in Oakland was arrested Friday night after allegedly shooting a man following a verbal dispute, a police spokesman said. At about 7:05 p.m., Adhem Abdullah, a clerk at Oakland Discount, located at 7645 MacArthur Blvd., had an argument with Oakland resident Willie Turner, police Officer Jeff Thomason said. The dispute escalated and Abdullah reportedly got a firearm from the store. He then allegedly fatally shot Turner, according to Thomason. Officers arrived and took Abdullah into custody. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Oakland Police Department Homicide Section.
