* Jesse Crow Arrested By Salinas Police For Murder Of His Wife Ryann Bunnell Crow Feb 2

Salinas police arrested a Prunedale man in Pacific Grove Tuesday night on a murder charge in connection with the disappearance of his wife late last month.Jesse Crow, 33, was arrested without incident at about 9:10 p.m. Tuesday in Pacific Grove, Salinas police Officer Lalo Villegas said.His wife, Ryann Bunnell Crow, 23, was reported missing to Salinas police by her family on Feb. 2 after not showing up to work the previous two days.She has not been seen since the afternoon of Jan. 30 in the Prunedale area of the county. Since her disappearance, authorities have found her white 2002 Chevy Malibu.Over the past week, the investigation shifted from a missing persons report to a criminal case, Villegas said. However, he would not elaborate on the circumstances, because he said the investigation is ongoing.”We believe we have a motive but we’re not disclosing it, or any information in regard to the evidence located,” Villegas said. “Our focus is still to locate Ryann.”Villegas added, “Based on the evidence and based upon how our investigation is going, we believe that Ryann is deceased. ”Monterey County sheriff’s Cmdr. Mike Richards said she had recently left Crow and was staying with her parents in Salinas. Villegas said it appears the couple had an on-again, off-again relationship.Authorities with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office and Salinas police have thoroughly searched Kirby Park, located near the Elkhorn Slough in the northern part of the county. Search warrants were served at the home the couple shared in Prunedale where deputies found an indoor marijuana growth, Richards said. Additional search warrants were served at the homes of Jesse Crow’s father and a female friend of his.Police Chief Louis Fetherolf will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. Thursday to discuss the case at Salinas City Hall, located at 200 Lincoln Ave. Crow has been cooperative with authorities from the beginning, Villegas said. He was booked into Monterey County jail in Salinas Tuesday and his bail was set at $3 million. He has not yet been arraigned, Chief Assistant District Attorney Terry Spitz said.
