A 21-year-old Santa Cruz man was arrested last week on suspicion of possessing a stolen $4,000 bicycle after an undercover officer responded to his online classified posting, police said today.The custom Specialized bicycle was stolen from the victim in San Luis Obispo and police in that city were then notified.Santa Cruz police said the victim later found a posting advertising the bike on the Craigslist Web site. An undercover officer posed as an interested buyer and contacted the seller, identified by police as Jordan Scott. The officer obtained his cell phone number and University of California at Santa Cruz e-mail address, and arranged to meet Scott in the 200 block of Cardiff Place on Thursday. After the officer arranged to purchase the bike, uniformed officers waiting nearby arrested Scott. He was booked into the Santa Cruz County jail for possession of stolen property, according to police, who said the stolen bicycle was recovered during the arrest.
