Police arrested a 46-year-old Antioch man on Thursday for allegedly robbing the same Rite Aid pharmacy twice, Antioch police said.The first robbery was reported on Jan. 3 at about 10 a.m. A man allegedly walked into the store, which is located at 20 E. 18th St., and handed a note to employees demanding that they give him narcotics. The note stated that the man had a gun, although no weapon was seen, police said.About a month later, at about 9 a.m. on Feb. 4, the same man allegedly walked into the same pharmacy and committed an identical robbery, police said.Investigators examined surveillance video of the two robberies and identified the suspect as George Lee Smith.Police arrested Smith at his house Thursday morning on suspicion of two counts of robbery. He was also arrested on burglary and narcotics charges. During a search of Smith’s home, police allegedly found evidence from the crimes, police said.
