Police are still looking for an 83-year-old San Jose woman who has been missing for two weeks and is considered at-risk.
One of Ann Marie Vlahovich’s neighbors called police on Feb. 2 to report that she hadn’t seen Vlahovich or her husband since Jan. 27. Officers responded to the couple’s home in the 800 block of Kingfisher Drive and found Vlahovich’s husband in need of medical attention. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. His wife, however, could not be located. Officer Jermaine Thomason Wednesday said police have searched parts of San Jose and even used a helicopter to search for her and her vehicle. “Once the vehicle is located, our investigators will be able to find additional details,” Thomas said. He said her disappearance does not appear to be suspicious at this time. Vlahovich is described as white with brown hair and green eyes. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 90 pounds. Her vehicle is a white 2001 four-door Cadillac STS, with California plate No. 4SYC855.
Vlahovich has no known medical conditions but wears corrective lenses, police said. Police seek the public’s help and encourage anyone with information on the whereabouts of Vlahovich or her car to call the missing persons unit at (408) 277-4786 during business hours and 911 or (408) 277-8900 after hours. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at
(408) 947-STOP (7867).
