* Ruben Bernal Identified As Victim Of A Fatal Shooting In Union City At 33558 Fourth St

The Alameda County coroner’s bureau has identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Union City early Saturday morning as 21-year-old Ruben Bernal.The shooting was reported just before 1 a.m. Saturday at 33558 Fourth St. Officers arrived to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds, including Bernal, a Union City resident.The victims were taken to a hospital where Bernal died Tuesday after he was taken off life support, Union City police Lt. Kelly Musgrove said.The second victim, a 33-year-old Union City resident, is expected to survive. Musgrove said no arrests have been made and police are continuing to investigate the shooting.Anyone with information is asked to call Union City police Detective Stan Rodrigues at (510) 471-1365.
