An 18-year-old man was arrested Thursday night after attacking two young victims at a group home in unincorporated Monterey County near Prunedale, according to the sheriff’s office. Sheriff’s deputies responded at about 8:05 p.m. Thursday to the Central Coast Group Home, located at 6835 Paradise Road, in response to a report of a fight. The deputies learned that Lane Pierce lived on the property of the group home as part of a transitional program but was not to enter housing for the minors in the group. Pierce entered the home Thursday though, after apparently being angry about an event the previous night, and attacked an 11-year-old and 12-year-old in their bedroom, according to the sheriff’s office. Both victims suffered minor injuries before staff members stopped the attack. Lane was arrested and booked into county jail where he is being held on $60,000 bail, according to the sheriff’s office.
