* Bryan Scobey Arrested In Reno After Stealing Truck From Hitmen Termite And Pest Control In Santa Rosa

A pest exterminator who disappeared last month with his employer’s truck was arrested Wednesday in Reno, Nev. Bryan Scobey, 36, who was arrested for being a fugitive from justice, is being held under $25,000 bail in the Washoe County Detention Facility. Details of his arrest were not immediately available.Scobey, an employee of Hitmen Termite and Pest Control in Santa Rosa, disappeared after his first appointment in the Sonoma area on Jan. 13. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office learned he drove to Yreka on his way to Portland, Ore. Sheriff’s Sgt. Tim Duke said Scobey ran out of money and sold tools belonging to the company. Scobey befriended someone in Yreka who agreed to drive him to Reno in exchange for the company’s truck, Duke said. The tools and the truck have been recovered, Duke said. Scobey faces embezzlement charges in Sonoma County, Duke said.
