* San Rafael Robberies Suspect Photo Released From Mini’s Market And Deli At 4140 Redwood Highway And Picante Taqueria At 340 Bellam Blvd.

San Rafael police have released a surveillance photo of a suspect in two armed robberies that occurred within half an hour of each other Saturday night.Mini’s Market and Deli at 4140 Redwood Highway in Terra Linda was robbed at about 8:50 p.m. and the Picante Taqueria at 340 Bellam Blvd. was held up at about 9:15 p.m., police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher said. Cash was taken in both robberies. Police today released an image captured during the taqueria robbery.The suspect is a white man with a heavy or medium build and tattoos on both arms. He was wearing a ski mask and had a black handgun.The image shows that the robber has a distinctive star tattoo at the base of his right elbow, Rohrbacher said.
