* Santa Rosa Police Looking for Man in Robbery of BJ’s Market on Santa Rosa Ave.

Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Santa Rosa convenience store at gun point Saturday night. At about 9 p.m., a clerk at BJ’s Market at 407 Santa Rosa Ave. activated the store’s panic alarm button. Police responded to the alarm and learned that an armed suspect had robbed the store. The clerk told police that a suspect entered the store, brandished a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. He took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and ran from the store, heading west down an alley. Police searched the area but could not find the suspect. The suspect was described as a man in his late 20s, with a gray sweatshirt and something covering his face. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to Santa Rosa  police Detective Mark Mahre at (707) 543-3590.
