* Charles “Chucky” Ortega Of Antioch Turned Himself In On Drug Charges

A 23-year-old Antioch man who was sought in connection with a suspected drug dealing operation that was being run out of a home in Antioch has been arrested, Antioch police Sgt. Steve Bias said today.Charles “Chucky” Ortega, an Antioch resident, turned himself in to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, Bias said.On Jan. 14, narcotics investigators from the Antioch and Pittsburg police departments served a search warrant at a home on Sycamore Drive in Antioch, where they arrested Pittsburg residents Paul Quintana, 20, and Walter Rodriguez, 22.Ortega was not found and a $405,000 warrant was issued for his arrest, Bias said.During the search of the home, investigators found five pounds of marijuana, a quarter-ounce of methamphetamine, a stolen handgun, an unregistered assault rifle and a large amount of cash, Bias said.The home was believed to be associated with all three suspects, who allegedly have ties to a local Pittsburg street gang, Bias said.The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office has charged the men with possession and sales of narcotics, possession of stolen property,weapons violations and enhancements for allegedly being involved in a gang, Bias said.
