Antioch and Pittsburg police arrested two men last week and were still searching for a third today in connection with a suspected drug dealing operation that was being run out of a home in Antioch, Antioch police Sgt. Steve Bias said today. Narcotics investigators arrested Pittsburg residents Paul Quintana, 20, and Walter Rodriguez, 22, Thursday afternoon. As of this afternoon, the third suspect, 23-year-old Antioch resident Charles “Chucky”
Ortega, was still outstanding, Bias said. During a search Thursday of a home on Sycamore Drive that is
associated with the three suspects, police allegedly found five pounds of marijuana, a quarter ounce of methamphetamine, a stolen handgun, an unregistered assault rifle and a large amount of cash, Bias said. All three men are believed to have ties to a local Pittsburg gang and had allegedly been selling drugs throughout the Bay Area, Bias said. The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office charged all three men Monday with possession and sales of narcotics, possession of stolen property, weapons violations and enhancements for allegedly being involved in a gang, Bias said. An $405,000 arrest warrant has been issued for Ortega and police
are asking anyone who knows where he is to contact Antioch police at (925) 778-2441 or their local law enforcement agency. He is described as a Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 155 pounds. He should be considered armed and dangerous, Bias said.
