* Erika Martinez Arrested by Monterey Sheriff’s Deputies for Allegedly Biting Man

A 24-year-old Salinas woman was arrested for domestic battery after allegedly biting a man on the shoulder during an argument Friday afternoon, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Erika Martinez was arrested following the incident, which was reported at about 3:25 p.m. Friday at a home in the 1000 block of Madison Lane, according to the sheriff’s office. The home is located in an unincorporated part of the county just east of Salinas. Deputies responded to the home, but Martinez had fled before they arrived. Deputies set up surveillance at her home on Bolero Avenue in Salinas, and Martinez was arrested when she returned home, according to the sheriff’s office.
