U-turn in front of his patrol car at the intersection of Harbor Way and Roosevelt Avenue at around 8:05 p.m., Lt. Mike Gormley said.The patrol car crashed into the Hyundai’s driver side. The officer was hospitalized with injuries to his head and hands,
Gormley said, and was being held overnight for observation. His injuries were not expected to be life threatening. The driver and passenger in the Hyndai had complaints of pain but did not need to be taken to a hospital, Gormley said.
