A man was shot in the leg during a robbery in Richmond Wednesday night, a police lieutenant said. Officers responded to Doctors Medical Center at around 8:50 p.m. when a man apparently walked in with a gunshot wound to the leg, Richmond
police Lt. Mike Gormley said. The man told police that about 20 minutes earlier at the intersection of 15th Street and Costa Avenue, two armed men wearing hoodies tried to rob him, possibly to get at his “grill” or gold mouthpiece. The victim said he was shot in the exchange and went to the hospital on his own. His injuries were not expected to be life threatening.
