Santa Rosa police are investigating the whereabouts of a group of suspects involved in a Monday night attack in which a single gunshot was fired in a 7-Eleven parking lot.At about 7:15 p.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven at 1401 Maple Ave. on reports of a shooting, police said.Police said three victims, ages 19 to 21, were in a vehicle in front of the store when a group of suspects drove into the parking lot. Three suspects, two armed with handguns and a third with a sawed-off shotgun, exited the vehicle and approached the victims.Police said the driver in the victims’ vehicle was hit with the barrel-end of the shotgun in the rib area and was also struck in the head with one of the handguns. The suspects also banged the victims’ windows with handguns, trying to get them to leave the car.One of the suspects then fired the shotgun at the victims’ vehicle and the round hit the exterior of the car, police said. No one was injured by the gunfire.The suspects fled in their dark-colored sedan north on Brookwood Avenue. Police said there were four or five suspects in the vehicle.Two of the gunmen were described as white men in their 20s, between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall, wearing dark sweatshirts. The third was described as a Hispanic man about 20 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall also, wearing a dark sweatshirt and white gardening-style gloves.A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to the arrests of the suspects in the case.
