Police arrested a 49-year-old man for allegedly fatally shooting a woman Friday night at a home in Petaluma. Officers responded to a home located in the 1300 block of McNeil Avenue at about 10 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived they located a woman dead inside the home.The suspect, Petaluma resident Kevin Mullennix, was located at the home and arrested, according to police. He was booked into the Sonoma County jail. The woman’s identity has not been released.The Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office assisted in the investigation.
