A Concord man who was arrested in mid-December in connection with a spree of robberies in Alameda and Santa Clara counties is now also facing charges for a robbery in Hercules, Hercules spokeswoman Michelle Harrington said Monday. Michael Grayson Jr. has allegedly admitted to holding up a Radio Shack store in Hercules on Sept. 23, Harrington said.According to Harrington, no weapon was seen during the robbery, but Grayson allegedly simulated that he had a weapon and stole cash from the register.Hercules police were among multiple Bay Area law enforcement agencies who interviewed Grayson after his arrest, Harrington said. The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s office filed two felony charges against him on Dec. 31. He will be brought to Contra Costa County to face charges once his cases in Alameda and Santa Clara counties have been adjudicated, Harrington said.He will most likely be tried under the state’s three strikes law and, if convicted, could face a potential life sentence, Harrington said.
