Police in San Rafael believe one of the two boys who robbed a liquor store last week may have struck again. On Monday night at about 8:30 p.m., a male who appeared to be a teenager robbed the Beacon Gas Station at gunpoint. The clerk told police that the suspect entered the store, located at 108 Bellam Blvd., brandished a silver handgun and demanded cash. The suspect was last seen running east on Francisco Blvd., according to police. He was described as a light-skinned male between 15 and 18 years old, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and about 130 pounds. The robber was reportedly wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a red scarf across his face, a black beanie cap and black gloves. His description and clothing are both similar to that of two boys between 12 and 17 years old who robbed a liquor store on Dec. 23. Both suspects in the liquor store robbery wore hooded sweatshirts, bandanas and black beanie caps.”It’s quite possible they are related,” said police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher. Security camera footage of the two crimes also show some parallels, she said.”The way they move, the way they walk, their build, some of the movements he makes at the counter are somewhat similar,” she said.
