* Oakland SWAT Team Arrests Shooting Suspect on 94th Ave. and Intrenational Blvd.

A suspect who allegedly shot someone in the face in Oakland was taken into custody this morning, a police spokesman said.
At 1:05 a.m., the Oakland Police Department got a call that someone was being beaten at 72nd Avenue and Spencer Street, Officer Jeff  Thomason said. Other callers told police they had heard gunshots in the area. Arriving officers found the victim, who was critically injured,  Thomason said. He is now in stable condition at a local hospital. Officers were later told the suspect was at 94th Avenue and International Boulevard, Thomason said.  Just after 3 a.m. a SWAT team was sent to search for the suspect. Then after 9 a.m. today, the team took the suspect into custody, Thomason said.
