Police have identified a man who was killed Saturday afternoon in Oakland after he was ejected from a vehicle as 60 year old James Brown, according to police. The incident was originally reported as an accident, but police now believe it might have been intentional. At 1:15 p.m. Saturday, a crash was reported in the 500 block of West MacArthur Boulevard, Oakland police Officer Jeff Thomason said. Upon arrival, officers found a man in the street suffering from massive injuries, according to the Oakland Police Department’s patrol division. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he died, police said. A traffic fatal investigation team was called to the crash and determined the incident was not the result of a hit and run. Witnesses reported the man was ejected from a vehicle, but it’s unclear if he jumped or was thrown, according to police.
