* Man Shot on Central Avenue in Richmond in Critical Condition

A 36-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting in Richmond tonight, a police lieutenant said. Officers responded to the 4200 block of Center Avenue shortly before 7:30 p.m. after the Police Department’s Shot Spotter system detected
gunshots, Lt. Mike Gormley said. Arriving officers located the victim suffering at least one gunshot wound. He was flown to a local hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition, Gormley said. No arrests have been made and no suspect information was immediately available.
