* William Patterson Identified as Man Fatally Shot on 84th Avenue Oakland

Police have identified the Oakland man who was fatally shot Friday night in the city as 28-year-old William Patterson. Units responded to reports of shots fired in the 1200 block of 84th Avenue at about 11:35 p.m., police spokesman Jeff Thomason said this afternoon. Arriving officers found Patterson, who had been fatally wounded. No one was arrested.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the Oakland Police Department’s homicide section at (510) 238-3821.
