The victim injured in a shooting Saturday night is a 14-year-old San Leandro girl, according to Oakland police. Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 9600 block of Bancroft Avenue at about 9:45 p.m., according to police spokesman Officer Jeff Thomason. They found the teen in the street, suffering from a gunshot wound that did not appear to be life threatening, he said.The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition, he said. Police do not currently have a motive or information on a potential suspect,according to Thomason. Thomason said the incident does not appear to be connected to the Friday night shooting in Oakland that left a 16-year-old dead and two others wounded. Police are also investigating a shooting that occurred at about 1:30 a.m. today in the 200 block of Clay Street. The victim is in stable condition, according to Oakland police.
