Salinas police are investigating what is believed to be a gang-related shooting in the city this afternoon. The shooting was reported at about 1:25 p.m. in the 100 block of Carr Avenue, according to police. Arriving officers found glass debris in the roadway along with several shell casings and skid marks, police said. Shortly afterward, a 20-year-old man arrived at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg, according to police. The victim said he was passing by in the area when someone fired several shots at him, one of which hit him near the knee, police said. No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. A Hispanic man between 20 and 30 years old was seen walking away from the area with a handgun, according to police.
