Police are seeking witnesses who may have seen a man get shot in his torso early this morning in East Palo Alto. Officers were called to the 60 block of Newell Road for a reported shooting just after 1 a.m. Arriving officers found a 35-year-old East Palo Alto resident who had been shot in his upper torso. Menlo Park Fire Department paramedics treated him and then the man was transported to a local hospital, according to the Police Department. He was listed in critical condition as of about 8 a.m. Detectives are still trying to determine the motive for the shooting.
