A disturbance at a gas station led police to pursue and eventually arrest a man for multiple alcohol offenses in Rohnert Park on Thursday night. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at A&L Market located at 1435 Cotati Ave. at around 11:40 p.m., according to Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety. A clerk at the market said a customer who appeared to be drunk became belligerent when he refused to sell the man alcohol. He allegedly grabbed a miniature bottle of brandy from the counter and drank it and challenged the clerk to a fight. The clerk called police. The suspect, later identified as 41-year-old Rohnert Park resident Brian Settle, allegedly fled in a gold Jeep Grand Cherokee before officers arrived. Settle was quickly spotted by Cotati police who attempted to stop him, but he refused and instead led officers on a low-speed pursuit. The suspect ultimately pulled over near the 1100 block of Civic Center Drive, according to police. Settle was ordered out of his jeep and continued to be belligerent until he was Tasered by police. He was arrested and booked into county jail for challenging to fight, vandalism, evading officers, drunken driving, driving with an open container of alcohol, resisting arrest and assault on a peace officer.
