Published by Junior Staff Writer on December 4, 2009
Alameda police today are investigating the city’s third homicide after a man was found shot to death Wednesday night in a home on Parfait Lane, a police lieutenant said. Officers went to the home in the 100 block of Parfait Lane shortly before 9 p.m. to conduct a welfare check after a person told police they were concerned about a family member who hadn’t been seen in a few days, Lt. Bill Scott said. Arriving officers found a man dead of an apparent gunshot wound. Scott said investigators have “active leads,” but declined to release further information on the shooting.
