* Garry Crowder is Identified as Victim of Fatal Stabbing on Virginia Avenue Richmond

A man who was found stabbed to death in his home in Richmond on Wednesday night has been identified as 46-year-old Garry Crowder, a Contra Costa County coroner’s deputy said today. Richmond police responded to Crowder’s home in the 1700 block of  Virginia Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. on a report of a possible homicide, police said. When officers arrived, they found Crowder suffering from an injury to his upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the home, police said. Crowder died from a single stab wound to his upper torso, according to the coroner’s office. As of early this morning, police did not have any suspects and were asking for the public’s help in investigating the homicide.
