Vallejo police have identified two suspects in a shooting that injured a man as he walked with his young daughter last month. Police said the suspects, Shawn Morita, 24, and Leslie Marie Quist, 37, are homeless and have been staying at motels in Contra Costa, Napa and Solano counties. The shooting victim, who is in his early 30s, was walking in south Vallejo on Nov. 11 with his daughter when he spotted Quist in a vehicle with Morita. The victim and Quist were acquaintances and at one point he had offered to fix her computer, Lt. Abel Tenorio said. When the victim began talking to Quist, Morita became jealous, exited the car and fired several shots at the victim, who was hit once in the leg, Tenorio said. The victim’s daughter was not injured. Police said Morita is a parolee at large and should be considered armed and dangerous. He is a native of Guatemala, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and may have cut off his hair, police said. Quist is an ex-felon on parole. She is white, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds and has hazel eyes and brown hair.
