* Hand Grenades Removed From a Home belonging to Gilbert Padilla on Del Monte Farms Road in Prundale

An explosives team confiscated three grenades from a man’s home in Prunedale on Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies sent for the explosives disposal squad at about 7:20 a.m. after the grenades were found on the property of 42-year-old Gilbert Padilla in the 15000 block of Del Monte Farms Road, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. The grenades were determined to be inactive and were taken by the squad to be destroyed.
