A 24-year-old man was fatally shot in Emeryville on Monday afternoon in the city’s second homicide this year, police said today.The shooting happened in the 3900 block of Adeline Street late Monday afternoon, Emeryville police Detective Lance Goodfellow said. Goodfellow said the victim, Damian Rowland, drove away after he was shot and crashed his car into a pole in the 3400 block of San Pablo Avenue in Oakland, less than half a mile away.The crash was reported to Oakland police at about 4:30 p.m., and Emeryville police were notified half an hour later. Rowland was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.Two men were seen running from the area where the shooting happened. They fled the scene in a white sedan, police said. Goodfellow said no suspects had been arrested as of this afternoon. “We’re trying to determine a motive right now,” he said.
