A man was grazed by a bullet in a fight in East Palo Alto late this afternoon and another man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, police said. Officers went to the intersection of Ralmar Avenue and Garden Street at about 4:40 p.m. on reports of a fight involving a man with a gun, according to police. Responding officers found a man who had been grazed in the head by a bullet. Officers detained the suspect, East Palo Alto resident John Scott Ware Jr., at the scene and recovered a firearm, police said.The preliminary investigation indicates Ware and victim were involved in a physical fight and that Ware then pulled out a gun and fired twice at the victim, police said. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
