A 17-year-old Scotts Valley girl was arrested Saturday night after she admitted she planned to give away Ecstasy and Ketamine at a rave in another county, according to Scotts Valley police. At about 8:11 p.m. Saturday, police stopped a vehicle at 5000 Granite Creek Road after the driver made several unsafe lane changes, according to police. The car smelled like marijuana, so police searched the vehicle and found drugs in the passenger’s purse. The girl had 30 Ecstasy tablets and 1.73 grams of Ketamine, which she admitted belonged to her. She said she planned to give them away at a rave in a different county, police said. The girl was arrested and booked at juvenile hall for possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. The driver of the car also had a small amount of marijuana, but police said they released him because he had valid medical marijuana paperwork. • They “smelled weed” and the driver had a license, but they decided to check all the passengers anyway? Now that sounds a little fishy, hopefully there was consent and no iffy ethical conduct.
