Narcotics officials from several agencies arrested nine people Friday after a series of search warrants in Greenfield and surrounding Monterey County areas yielded a variety of drugs and weapons, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. The searches began just after 7 a.m. Authorities seized 145 grams of methamphetamine, 17 grams of cocaine and 282 grams of marijuana, according to the sheriff’s office. Two rifles and a shotgun were also confiscated. Officers arrested one juvenile and eight adult Greenville residents: Danny McCarter, Jr., 24; Efren Para, 35; Sergio Villanueva, 28; Kasey Davidson, 47; Trudy Hill, 42; Veronica Landy, 39; Alberto Escamilla, 41; and Crispin Guajarao, 29, according to the sheriff’s office. No one wasinjured during the raids.The California Highway Patrol, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Monterey County Joint Gang Task Force also participated in the searches and arrests.
