* Daniel Uribe Cuevas Arrested by Petaluma Police for Alleged Burglary

Petaluma police arrested a man allegedly caught burglarizing a home in the city early this morning. The 27-year-old woman who lives in the 300 block of Lakeville Circle found a man inside her apartment when she returned home around 4 a.m., Sgt. Marlin Christensen said. The man fled but a neighbor saw him run into an apartment in the 100 block of Lakeville Circle, Christensen said.
Police questioned the residents of that apartment and the victim and the neighbor identified Daniel Uribe Cuevas, 23, of Petaluma as the burglary suspect, Christensen said. Cuevas later admitted his involvement to police, Christensen said. The victim’s closet and dresser drawers had been tampered with but nothing was taken because he was interrupted when the woman arrived home,
Christensen said.Cuevas was booked in the Sonoma County jail for burglary. His bail is $40,000.
