* Santa Rosa Junior College Employee Attacked In The Burbank Auditorium

A Santa Rosa Junior College employee fought off a man who tried to sexually assault her on campus Tuesday morning, campus police said.The woman was working alone in her office in the Burbank Auditorium at about 10:45 a.m. when she heard a knock at the door, police said.When she opened the door, she was immediately attacked by a man who tried to sexually assault her, police said. A violent struggle followed, and the man eventually fled.The woman reported the attack to other staff members, and campus police searched the building and the surrounding area. The woman was taken by ambulance to a hospital.The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a stocky build and short, black hair. He was wearing a white sleeveless shirt, dark pants and black gloves, police said. Anyone with information on the attack is asked to call campus police at (707) 527-1000.
