* Clarence Haynes Of El Sobrante Identified As Man Shot To Death In Richmond

A man who was shot to death Tuesday evening in Richmond has been identified as 38-year-old El Sobrante resident Clarence Haynes, a Contra Costa County deputy coroner said today.A second man was reported to be in critical condition after the shooting. He was still alive today, but there were no updates on his condition, Richmond police Sgt. Bisa French said today.Officers went to the 1000 block of Roosevelt Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. As they were responding, police were told that two shooting victims had arrived at a local hospital.Preliminary reports indicate that the victims were driving in the area of Harbour Way and Roosevelt Avenue when a suspect shot at their car, police said. The men managed to drive to the hospital, where Haynes was pronounced dead at 6:35 p.m. No suspect information was available today and a motive for the shooting has not been determined.Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Police
