Vacaville police arrested a 47-year-old Paradise man Friday night for possession of marijuana for sale after approaching him because he was suspected in a nearby vandalism incident. Robert Michael Lake was arrested after officers approached him at
about 8:10 p.m. Friday near a 7-Eleven store at 1097 E. Monte Vista Ave., according to police. Lake matched the description of a suspect in a vandalism case in the 200 block of Circle Drive, police said. Lake was found sitting on a four-gallon bucket with a lid on it, and a strong odor of marijuana was smelled, according to police.  He admitted being in possession of marijuana and a search revealed more than a pound of processed marijuana and a digital scale in the bucket, police said.  Investigators later learned that Lake was in the Vacaville area for the purpose of selling the marijuana, and also knew the victims of the vandalism and had spent the evening with them. Lake was arrested and booked into Solano County jail for possession of marijuana for sale, according to police.
