* Gregory Rossignon Arrested For Murder Of Demariay Weathers In Antioch Calif.

Antioch police have arrested a suspect in the murder of 18-year-old Demariay Weathers last month. The suspect, 24-year-old Gregory Garland Rossignon, of Antioch, was taken into custody Friday evening in Pittsburg. Weathers was found lying motionless on a lawn between two apartment buildings in the 2300 block of Spanos Street shortly before 4 a.m. on Oct. 23 by officers responding to reports of a shooting. He had suffered a single gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Shortly before 6 p.m. Friday, an Antioch police SWAT team headed to a home on Carpino Avenue in Pittsburg, where they took Rossignon into custody after a brief struggle.Rossignon is being held at the Martinez Detention Facility on a probation violation pending the filing of homicide charges, police said.
