A 21-year-old man who was shot six times in a Fremont home early this morning is in stable condition this afternoon, according to the Police Department. Officers responded to a home in the 20 block of West Pickering Avenue just after 2 a.m. and found the victim suffering from the gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital.  It is believed that two suspects entered the home demanding money from the occupants when the victim armed himself with a handgun and engaged in a gunfight with one of the suspects, police said.  Authorities don’t know if either of the suspects was injured.  Both suspects are black and around 27 years old. One is 6 feet tall and no more than 180 pounds, and the other is about 5 feet 10 inches and 220 to 230 pounds. The taller suspect had a half-inch afro haircut, and the shorter one had a clean-cut haircut, police said.
